Marcel Wanders created the interior for the Barkli Gallery lobby
A private press-brunch was held at the «TS.D.L.» restaurant on the 8th of June, confined to Marcel Wanders’ arrival in Moscow – the famous Hollywood designer is working on the Barkli Gallery lobby, and this is going to be his first project in Russia.
Marcel Wanders went into great detail about his collaboration with «Barkli» and presented his project of the interior. The spacious lobby will have a fireplace zone with a splendid grand piano, a small café with a summer terrace, a community-zone for gatherings, suited to hold small events, and a greenhouse with a winter garden. A signature Wanders chandelier Le Roi Soleil, created for the French crystal manufacturer Baccarat, will become the highlight of this interior.
Journalists representing Moscow’s leading publishing houses gathered at this event, having been invited by the «Barkli» corporation. First Deputy Chairman of the Board Aleksandr Krasavin in his message to the guests noted: «Our goal was to create something truly outstanding, and for that we needed the best of the best. Marcel managed to masterfully get in touch with the space and he presented the classics in a new light».
